Diana O"Rourke Jacoby, Still Life "Yellow and pink roses in a glass vase", oil on canvas in a giltwood frame. Signed on reverse. Diana O’Rourke Jacoby has drawn and painted since childhood. Diana has a lifelong love of the arts and majored in Art History at Finch College. After graduation her focus turned to a career in the decorative arts. She has been a dealer in 18th century decorative arts for twenty five years. Diana and her husband are owners and partners in Philip Colleck, Ltd., dealers specializing in 18th century English furniture and decorative arts which was founded in New York City in 1938. In 2002 Diana returned to her love of painting and began studying at The Art Student’s League and the Salamagundi Club with Richard Pionk and John Foote. She has studied portraiture with Nelson Shanks at the Art Student’s League and drawing at The Frick Collection with Sue Gussow.
