Designed in 1964 by legendary Danish 20th century designer Verner Panton, the Fun 1DA Pendant Lamp is reproduced for today's design enthusiast by Verpan. This elegantly constructed ceiling-mount pendant lamp is made from a three ring metal frame with descending strands of shimmering metal discs. Combined to form a cohesive whole, these brilliant circles glisten like the scales of a fish or gleaming beads. When illuminated, the reflective surfaces enliven any space with dynamic, ethereal light. When touched, the discs emit a soft twinkling sound that lends further animation to the lively design and lends beauty and dimension to any room.
For Les Perles Candle Holders, FX Ballery drew inspiration from classic wooden beads produced in the Jura Mountains. Its steel base comes with eight interchangeable wooden pieces that can be put together to create unique and changeable candlestick designs. This x-large version comes in black, natural, and red.
The Thonet Chair 18 is crafted in the same factory where Czech furniture maker Michael Thonet began producing his famous bentwood chairs in 1861. Using steam-bending techniques invented by Thonet, TON's expert craftsman render European solid beech wood and beech plywood into a chair with timeless appeal. The Chair 18 was first introduced in 1876 and features a delicately curved backrest that corresponds to the circular seat and subtly flared legs. The backrest has a manually bent rod that mirrors the outline of the backrest, as well as a manually bent circular rod beneath the seat. The result is a cohesive chair that can be used at a dining table, desk, or as extra seating.
