We've been caught red-handed eyeing gorgeous red interiors this week (bad pun, we know). The color—bold, dangerous, inspiring one to live vivaciously—captures attention no matter where it's placed in the room. Which means: you have to be careful with it, selecting even-handedly where the color might splash in your decor. If you've been thinking of getting red-y to add this shade to your interior (an even worse pun, we'll stop), we've picked a few interiors that we thought played with the color in modern, interesting ways:
A gorgeous red patterned headboard and frame is just what you need to spice up (extremely) neutral decor. Now that's what we call brilliant styling. Inspiration Image via Architectural Digest.
A vintage chair design gets a gorgeous upgrade when dashed with red and paired with so many fascinating extras. Our eyes have to bounce around the room just to keep up—in a totally good way. Inspiration Image via Daily Mail.
A simple red couch is quietly assisted by a massive library shelving unit. If there's this much stone and brown tones, well...it's a crime not to go bold. Red adds the perfect touch. Inspiration Image via Architecture Art Designs.
First off, if you're going all-out with heart-shaped chairs, then why not get them in bold red? On a second note, if you're the type to go for hear-shaped chairs, why stop there with quirky decor? We love this surprising and interesting mix of pieces in which red is still the standout hue. Inspiration Image via happymundane.
